T-Shirts, Hats, Mousepads and other items with images of Pittsburgh's engineering landmarks.
First Edition Designs feature eight Pittsburgh bridges representing various structural types, the sculptures from the Manchester Bridge Portal and the seven covered bridges which once crossed the three rivers of downtown Pittsburgh.

Structural Types

Full color details of eight Pittsburgh bridges represent a variety of structural types: Smithfield, Washington Crossing, Schenley Park WPA, West End, Schenley, Homestead, 10th Street, McKees Rocks.

The design also includes the architectural detail -- from the 1931 Allegheny County Office Building by Stanley Roush -- which has been adopted as the symbol of pghbridges.com

Manchester Bridge Portal

The 1915 Manchester Bridge over the Allegheny River included portal decorations by Charles Keck. The sculptures were rescued when the bridge was demolished in 1970. The same design is available on T-shirts.

Pittsburgh's Covered Bridges

The Union Bridge (1875-1907) was the first to link the Point with the opposite shore of either river. It was built so low that it obstructed river traffic . By 1899, it was a major cause of the Secretary of War to require all bridges on Pittsburgh's rivers to be raised higher or replaced. The Union Bridge was the last wooden river crossing to be built in Pittsburgh. It was replaced by the Manchester Bridge.

Pittsburgh's Covered Bridges

The Union Bridge shirt also shows the seven wooden covered bridges which once crossed Pittsburgh's three rivers between 1818 and 1924.
